Project Description

NicNevol Engineering Services performed a geotechnical exploration and pavement condition survey for the internal roadway and parking lot at Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine, FL. The objective was to assess pavement performance, subsurface soil conditions, and provide engineering recommendations for rehabilitation and maintenance improvements.

Field activities included soil borings at representative areas, sampling, and laboratory testing to determine soil classifications, moisture content, and support conditions. Engineering analysis addressed pavement structure performance, rehabilitation options, and design recommendations to enhance service life and safety for park visitors.

Recommendations were delivered to the Florida DEP Bureau of Design & Construction, including pavement rehabilitation approaches and site preparation guidelines for future resurfacing.
