Project Description
NicNevol Engineering Services was contracted by Hubbard Construction Company to provide Construction Materials Testing (CMT) for the development of the new Fire Station 14 Parking Lot in Clay County, FL. The scope included field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete to verify compliance with Clay County and FDOT specifications for compaction, density, and strength.
NicNevol Responsibilities
- Performing soil density and compaction testing with a nuclear gauge.
- Sampling fresh concrete and testing compressive strength in the laboratory.
- Obtaining asphalt cores and verifying density and compaction.
- Documenting daily field testing and preparing certifications.
- Coordinating with Hubbard Construction and Clay County inspectors.
- Ensuring compliance with FDOT, ASTM, and ACI testing standards.
