Dr. Lovencin earned his BS, MS, and PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida. He began his career with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), where he advanced from Professional Engineer Trainee to Project Administrator, Project Engineer, and Construction Project Manager. His FDOT experience gave him a strong foundation in administration, construction, design, and maintenance of roadway and bridge projects.
After obtaining his PE license, Dr. Lovencin transitioned to the private sector, where he deepened his expertise in managing complex engineering projects. With a vision for delivering high-quality consulting services in Northeast Florida, he founded NicNevol Engineering Services, Inc., leading its growth and client relationships ever since.
Dr. Lovencin is an active member of professional associations, including ASCE, ASHE, FES, and ASTM, and has served on the ASTM C09 Committee.
