Project Description
The SR 121 RRR Design project extends approximately 9.3 miles along a 2-lane roadway, from Union County to just south of I-10. The scope focuses on resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation to improve pavement condition, ride quality, and overall safety in accordance with FDOT Standard Roadway Plans and Specifications.
Improvements include base work, shoulder treatments/widening, driveway RAP treatments, guardrail replacement with traffic railing and Thrie-Beam retrofit, updates to signing and pavement markings, and retrofitting at signalized intersections. The corridor features five typical sections tailored to existing conditions and operational needs.
NicNevol Responsibilities
- Performing no-passing analysis for corridor safety.
- Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) assessment.
- Plans review quality assurance for conformance with FDOT standards.
- Constructability review and coordination with the design team.
- Documentation and recommendations to support safety and operations.
