Project Description
The Alta Drive Roadway Improvements—part of JTAMobilityWorks—expand capacity, improve safety, and support growth in northeast Jacksonville. The corridor spans from I-295 to Burkit Lane and includes both JTA and FDOT right-of-way.
Scope elements include roadway widening and earthwork, drainage upgrades, milling and resurfacing, signalization, signing & pavement marking, landscaping, and utility coordination (with JEA water and sewer). NicNevol provided Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and QA support to verify compliance with FDOT/JTA standards.
NicNevol Responsibilities
- Field & laboratory testing of asphalt, concrete, and soils.
- Verification of material compliance with FDOT/JTA specifications.
- Coordination with CEI inspectors and contractor QA personnel.
- Daily documentation and reporting of test results.
- Oversight of MOT, erosion control, and surface restoration checks.
