Project Description

NicNevol Engineering Services provided Construction Materials Testing (CMT) for the replacement of the Moncrief Creek Bridge in Jacksonville, FL. The scope covered removal of the existing structure and construction of a new bridge with approaches, utilities, and drainage, ensuring compliance with project specifications, FDOT standards, and City requirements.

NicNevol Responsibilities

  • Performing field density tests on soil, aggregate, and asphalt.
  • Sampling fresh concrete and conducting lab compressive strength testing.
  • Obtaining asphalt cores and verifying compaction/density.
  • Preparing daily field reports and materials certifications.
  • Coordinating with contractor and City inspectors; ensuring FDOT/ASTM/ACI compliance.
