Project Description
The SR 16 RRR Design project enhances safety and extends the service life of the corridor in Bradford County. The work includes resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation across approximately 9.2 miles of a 2-lane roadway, connecting from the Union County Line to SR 200/US-301 in Starke, Florida.
Typical improvements include base work, shoulder treatments/widening, driveway RAP treatments, drainage upgrades, guardrail replacement with traffic railing and Thrie-Beam retrofit, updated signing and pavement markings, sidewalk/ADA upgrades, and retrofits at signalized intersections — all in accordance with FDOT Standard Roadway Plans & Specifications.
NicNevol Responsibilities
- Performing no-passing analysis for corridor safety.
- Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) assessment.
- Plans review quality assurance for conformance with FDOT standards.
- Constructability review and coordination with the design team.
- Geotechnical investigation support, as required.
